[edit] Questions

What is with the copyright on songs? The Internet is a medium where music, text, photos almost any creative work can be copied, published and multiplied pretty easy. What about a different way of licensing e. g. Creative Commons License(CCL)? What about netlabels? I think those topic will fit into this collective as well? What are advantages and disdvantages o CCL music, photos, text etc. for the Internet user?

[edit] The Guitar Clinic FAQ

What is a Guitar Clinic ?
There is no single definition. But here, we will demo the guitar as a musical instrument, answer questions that you would have, teach some basics of guitar playing and hopefully provide some initial impetus to get you started on this fascinating instrument.

When is the clinic being held ?
Dunno.

Is it mandatory to register ?
No. But if you do, we will be able to get an idea of how many people are coming etc.. This is a BarCamp, so there is no restriction that if you register you have to attend it (though we highly recommend :)

Do I need to bring my guitar ?
It is not mandatory at all. But if you can get one, good. Out of tune guitars will also do. We will do the tuning, free of cost :-)

Should I have played a guitar before ?
No. Specifically, this clinic is more geared towards newbies, wannabes and starters. More experienced players are welcome to join unBand and jam with us.

Do I need to know basic music theory ?
No.

Hindi or Western ?
Western, primarily rock, blues and jazz.

I have no plans of taking up the guitar. Can I still come ?
Yes , of course. You never know, you may change your mind !

For how long will this session last ?
40 mins to an hour.

Will I be able to play "For Love of God" by Steve Vai after attending this clinic ?
a) No
b) Yes. But it will sound like your version.

Will I be able to play some basic chords to strum along at a picnic with friends ?
Yes, most likely.
