An introduction to, and a demonstration of, a light-weight cluster and cluster management system based on JActor (Java Actors). This is open source software (LGPL), free for use in your own projects. Requires only Java 7.
To participate in the cluster demo, you will need a laptop with Java 7.
I will be attending
Yesterday I burned the CD for the demo and ordered copies. But the CD has only a script for windows. Perhaps someone could write a script for the MAC or some other OS and share it?
The windows script is below. It takes one optional argument, a port number.
java -classpath jactor-188.8.131.52.jar;slf4j-api-1.7.2.jar;jid-184.108.40.206.jar;jasocket-220.127.116.11.jar;sshd-core-0.8.0.jar;mina-core-2.0.5.jar;bcprov-jdk15-140.jar;jline-2.10.jar;jfile-18.104.22.168.jar;jaconfig-22.214.171.124.jar;joda-time-2.1.jar org.agilewiki.jaconfig.JACNode %1

This should work on both Mac and Linux:
1. Replace semicolon(;) with colon(:)
2. Replace %1 with “$@”
So we end up with this:
java -classpath jactor-126.96.36.199.jar:slf4j-api-1.7.2.jar:jid-188.8.131.52.jar:jasocket-184.108.40.206.jar:sshd-core-0.8.0.jar:mina-core-2.0.5.jar:bcprov-jdk15-140.jar:jline-2.10.jar:jfile-220.127.116.11.jar:jaconfig-18.104.22.168.jar:joda-time-2.1.jar org.agilewiki.jaconfig.JACNode $@
Thanks for proposing the session. Please come at 8AM to register your session. We will collect all 36 sessions purely on a first-come-first-serve-basis and run scheduling algorithm to minimize clashes and determine the time at which you’ll present the session.
Coming in late might result in you not being able to present your talk, so please be on time.
Thanks and enjoy Barcamp Bangalore 13
