Barcamp Bangalore is an open to public, participatory, workshop-event focused around people, ideas and collaboration. There is no fixed format and agenda. If you have an interesting topic to share or want to collaborate with folks with a variety of experience Barcamp is the place for you.
Bangalore organized its first Barcamp back in the year 2006.. Since then Barcamp has been a flagship event for professionals to share their ideas and collaborate with like minded people. Barcamp Bangalore is attended by hundreds of participants and run into multiple parallel sessions. You can expect sessions on variety of topics like
- Technology,
- Design,
- Startups & Entrepreneurship,
- Business & Management,
- Photography,
- User Experience
- Your life learnings
and a lot more.
Attending as Presenter
Barcamp Bangalore is a participatory event, so everyone is encouraged to contribute. If you would like to share your passion for a topic or your experiences or surprise everyone with a cool hack; prepare a presentation on the topic of your choice and propose your topic to the BCB sessions(we are yet to open registrations for sessions) to gauge topic popularity amongst campers.
On the event day reserve your slot (first come – first serve basis) in the published schedule for the day. Most conference rooms at the venue will have a projector, whiteboards and other necessary communication aids. Additionally there are few open air collaboration spaces available at the venue for “impromptu sessions”. Space allocation will start as early as 8:00 am on the day of the event. Be an early bird to get a preferred slot. Laptops with presentation material are a great addition – we’d prefer if your talk focuses more on the ideas that you wish to spread than some dreary ppts
.
Each session is limited to 50 minutes duration. Use this time judiciously to allow more time for questions and discussions with participants.
Attending as Participant
If you are attending Barcamp Bangalore as participant, register now and click “I’m Attending” button for all the sessions of your choice. The I’m Attending button is quite important to us – it helps understand the popularity of a session and we use this, along with few other factors to ensure that session overlaps are minimal.
If you’ve registered for previous Barcamps, login using previous registration id and click on “I’m Attending” button for the sessions you’re interested.
